Please try to avoid proselytizing. I am glad that fasting with prayer is helpful for you but that is something personal to you. For the rest of us, fasting is great. If prayer helps you, terrific. If affirmations help, also good. Whatever you happen to believe in, whatever works for you, do it. Be a good human and fast!

@albacan Well said, thank you. I don't think they want to hear it though. It is the nature of religion unfortunately to proselytize. I wish that wasn't the case and I wish they would stop but they won't.

@danacaro-herman3530 Religion is the cause of so much strife, war, suffering and death. Each religion believes itself to be the correct one. Each teaches its adherents to go forth and proselytize. To force their version of the truth on others frequently at gunpoint. No, it is absolutely believers that are the problem. Religion is behind so much tragedy. You believe that your god is the correct god and someone else's god is a lie. You go forth and try to force people to change their beliefs because God told you to. Meanwhile their version of God tells them to do the same thing to you. Religion, faith, spirituality should be something private and personal between the individual and whatever version of God they believe in. It should not be in the public domain and it should not be used as an excuse to hurt other people. Non-believers by definition don't try to force their beliefs unto others. That is something believers do.

@rosegardenrosaries such a tragedy when someone spams emojis rather than using their words.

@DIFA300 Yes, I am uncomfortable with those beliefs being pushed in the public domain. Religion has been the cause of so much war strife and unnecessary suffering. You are entitled to your beliefs. You are also entitled to keep them to yourself. This is where the conversation ends.
