I wanted to add to that - the word "lust" you're citing is the Hebrew word "T'chooka" - it means passion. Consensual passion. I read the original statement; the rabbi is giving permission for Israeli men to have consensual sex with non Jewish women. NOT rape. Generally speaking it is frowned upon for Israeli men to engage in relationships with non Jewish women. This is absolutely an issue and is worth addressing. So is the sexism in that women don't get a similar dispensation. These are the real issues with what was said. There is enough wrong with the world without whipping up anti-semitism and misrepresenting what people say. A story where a rabbi says "Okay, you can have sex with non Jewish women in war time" is what we have here, and by all means address that, but the eye rolling at the translated word "Jewess" (Hebrew has male and female cases, as French does, that's where the translated term comes from) and outrage at translating the word "Passion" into "lust' and in turn stating that this means rape, is wrong and disturbing. Come on, we can and have to do a lot better than this.

I agree with a lot of what he says but he's condescending and that's off-putting. I watch TYT and love it, there seems to be a difference in approach. Again, before people attack, I agree with much of what he says. Toning down his anger and apparent lack of patience with those who don't think exactly as he does could result in more viewers. He is so scathingly dismissive and that can't be the best way to build consensus and bridge the chasms.

Why is it surprising that Israel has a rabbi for the IDF? Wait, where did it say rape? You're dealing with a translation from Hebrew to English -- Hebrew has feminine and masculine cases, that's where you get the word "Jewess" that you were mocking. We'd just say "Jew" or "Jewish woman." As for the rape issue, it didn't say rape, it said "satisfy lust" - i.e., "have sex" -- It does NOT say rape. This is disappointing to me, it's misleading and wrong. I'm a TYT subscriber, a subscriber to this channel specifically, and I would like to see this amended. This is NOT the same thing as the settlers. Not even close.
