@enyotheios2613 I don't know that it is correct that most lawyers know that they have sold their souls. I'm an attorney, I went to law school in order to make a difference. Not to sell my soul. I don't do the whole slick shtick that this channel does, but I do help a lot of people.

Arguably the New York bar exam. But let's not quibble. There are many states with reciprocity, you do not have to take the bar exam in every jurisdiction. Your information is not accurate, that you are offering it from your erstwhile standing as an attorney is more concerning. Are you an attorney? I see that you're presenting a video in a suit and tie with books behind you, but that is meaningless. If you're going to provide information, please verify that it's accurate.

@nfspbarrister5681 Don't condescend. You don't know anything about me. Not my age nor my reasons for going to law school. I was an ALJ in NYS and I've been in private practice briefly. After the pandemic I'll find something that will let me work on the issues that matter. Health care. A minimum wage that makes sense. The end stages of unallayed capitalism, the concentration of wealth into fewer and fewer hands, has led us to a dark place. Neither party prioritized education because a malleable population without critical thinking skills is easier to manipulate into believing whatever you want them to believe. We are seeing the fruits of that now. I have more to say but I'm recovering from minor surgery and I'm tired and hurting. Trust me when I tell you though that selling my soul for lots of money won't happen.

@nfspbarrister5681 You decided to make a comment in my direction. You got very defensive when I said that I wouldn't sell my soul. First, you assumed that I must be a recent graduate because the comment struck you as naive. I attempted to explain my background, even though I was under no obligation to do so. Apparently there was a typo in my response that you seized upon in order to issue this attack. I'm going to assume that you are this defensive because you have engaged in exactly the behavior that I will not and therefore need to believe that everyone else will do the same. You don't know anything about me but you're attempting to insult me on the basis of a typo. This tells me a lot about you and your approach. This conversation has reached its terminus. For the record I have been in practice for over 20 years. I graduated law school young and was the youngest ALJ in my state at that time. As a last point, I'm going to assume that there is an issue of language here. I don't believe English to be your first language based on your usage. Given that, it is increasingly odd that you would choose to attack me for mine.

It isn't the last failed gasp of Trumpism. It is disingenuous of you to suggest it. From one attorney to another, you know better or you should. The conditions that spawned Trump have not changed and will not change under a Biden administration. The populist we could have elected, the real populist, mainstream Democrats viewed as unacceptable. Here's the thing, so many people in this country view progress achieved by others as their loss. If you are a working class white person, you view the gains of black people, women, other minorities, as coming at your expense. Progress here is a zero-sum game for many people. It isn't really but this is how it's viewed. Until we have better education, health care for everyone, and a social safety net similar to what other countries have, that anger and rage that Trump taps into will be present. Once people don't feel that every drop of progress comes at their expense, they'll be able to relax and be less susceptible to this kind of manipulation. Education is also necessary, neither party has made it a priority because both benefit from an easily manipulated base.
