  1. Why are you an apologist for violence against children in schools? Could it be that you don't see a 17 or 18-year-old black male as worthy of protection? Do you think he's more inclined to be violent because of his race? I don't expect an answer here but it would be useful for you to interrogate that in the silences of your own mind. We have a problem in the US with racism and gun culture. Whether he should have been disciplined for declining to participate in a school activity is a different question. Violence against a child, resulting in real world consequences against that child cannot be the answer. Ever.
