  5. The video is highlighting some of the brilliant engineering choices, for the time when it was produced, of the Model T. For its time it was actually quite reliable. Of course, it couldn't go over 40 mph / 60 km.h, but then again highways hadn't even been thought of yet let alone built.

  12. In part because it did not have as many moving parts of other cars of its time, it was indeed more reliable compared to the other cars. For the time, however.

  13. Model T was excellent for its time. New cars are less reliable than they have been at any time in the past 40 years. 80s econoboxes got 50 mpgs. On average, new electric cars, despite being easier for manufacturers to make be reliable than ICE cars (having just a motor and a battery) are much, much less reliable than new ICE cars according to owner surveys of the past few years.
