Whatifalthist Your beliefs are unrealistic nonsense. Just like the Civil War, a superior organized military would preserve the union. It pays them, honors them, and gives them rank and power. The red states are mostly empty, population-wise. Over 65% of the people are in the east, and the cities are not half of it, the country people in the east outnumbers the ten most populated red states, and they are democrats! The nutball right-wing is less than 15% of the population. And among those most are aged and senile. Their kids left the farm to get the fuck away from them and become urban. The number who might fight, or pretend to, are under 10%. Even the rest don't want to end this nation, The red state nutballs are scattered, and whatever they took over, we know right where they are by satellite, and scary industrial scale killing machines, missiles and drones would take it back in short order. They would die wholesale or surrender in dishonor, never to legally own guns ever again. These clowns have too much to lose, and they would run and hide. Lose their farms, lose their guns, and get their homophobic asses dumped in dropped soap prison camps, this would be the fate they most fear other than death. No fifth column action is even practical in this day and age.

@T.L. Watkinson You're confused. You needs tools and heavy machinery parts, you need fuel, you can raise chickens, but so can city people. You need electrical power, AND water, and cities control that. It wouldn't be but few days before heavy military comes and puts you in prison camps. If you think not, think again. Emergency orders and you'd be stripped of your guns and convicted of conspiracy crimes that would keep you from ever owning guns again!! You would have totally fucked yourself!! Red states are LOW population, had to organize, impossible to defend against helicopters, drones, and artillery.
