The story wasn't written till 50 years later, after 70 CE, and it was set in the past to prevent questioning of witnesses, and written by anonymous writers for the same reason. The bible has NOT been verified, that is a lie of right-wing christians, actual scholars and historians know better. We can go through a long long list of its lies. Josephus didn't write the passage about jesus, Eusebius did, over 150 years later. He forged it into Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews and then announced he had found the passage when Origen, the original owner of Eusebius copy said Josephus never mentioned jesus. The forgery is totally an obvious insertion by its content. Eusebius was called "the dishonest cleric" because he heavily promoted lying for the faith. We know all the particulars of this fiction story!! Your jesus was garbage, pure fiction.

@nicholasconder4703 I didn't have to. There are now a legion of PhD historians and honest bible scholars who are realizing that none of the jesus story checks out with any known history of the time. The disciples suspiciously disappear from all history right after the execution. The mother Mary disappears. And there are NO death notices or family remembrances of any of these supposedly illustrious men. The 30 plus Greek and Roman scholars in Jerusalem from 25-35 CE precisely to study Jewish cults never even mentioned jesus' name. Later Roman writers right-wing christians love to trot out are reporting hearsay from later believers, they don't document anything. The gospels written after 70 CE were ANONYMOUS, and they set the jesus story 50 years previous in history. Both were obviously done to prevent any witnesses or the authors from being asked anything, since people on average lived to 48 back then. The josephus blurb was forged into Eusebius' copy of the Antiquities by Eusebius himself, this bishop of Caesarea was known as the "dishonest cleric", because he heavily promoted lying for the faith! His copy came from Origen's library which he inherited, and Origen said that Josephus never even mentioned jesus. And, this testamonium flavianun, so-called, was a crappy fit for the passages before and after it, and looks inserted. Pilate wrote nothing about jesus in his memoirs and letters, which were voluminous. What looks like happened was a cabal of Greek-speaking rabbis tried to hijack the archangel jesus of paul's visions and dreams ONLY, and set him on earth as the son of god, since after the destruction of the temple the jews thought god had died or gone way. Then they executed him to prevent later deviation from the myth. Can't leave a son of god loose running around. They needed a new god to worship who was more portable, what's better for that than a dead son of god? So christianty is all a myth, literally Judaism 2.0.

@nicholasconder4703 All that is is propaganda from non-thinking desperate christians. Bible scholars and historians know there are major problems with there not being any supporting evidence for any of the jesus story, unless you pretend the story is "evidence", and it isn't.

@nicholasconder4703 You're deluding yourself because you can't think straight about losing your jesus. These are disguised propaganda, made to catch the more studious and less religious unaware. Literally everything they say has NO evidence of relating to any jesus. They are claims videos without any real evidence. They were designed to lead you through the same old narrative without tying anything to anything totally with any evidence. Claiming it's all allegory won't save you from the atheism that is growing.

Can skeptics explain the empty tomb, the 500 who saw Jesus alive, the disciples' conviction to fervently believe that Christ resurrected despite having nothing to gain, Paul's conversion & many doubters such as Thomas and James converting? ------------------------------------ The story was complete fiction. The 500 was a nice round number, just made-up! Their names never mentioned!! People believed a stupid story because it was a heart-warming magic story of victory over cruel empire. The story was set 50 years before, to fend off witnesses who saw no jesus, age of death at the time was 48!! Authors were all anonymous, same motives!! There is NO record of Pilate EVER attending a trial!! He hated the jews and lived in his villa at Caesarea!! There is NO record of a temple trial. Night time trials were illegal under temple law, so were capital trials that were not several days, to give jurors night to sleep on their verdict, again, temple law!! None of the more than 50 chroniclers of the time ever even mentioned the name jesus!!!
