Pete V No, punishment isn't non-human. And in the field it isn't punishment, it's self-defense on the part of the officer. He's required to do the job of arrest, and allowed to defend himself against equivalent counter-assault. Orders from authorities can only be later ruled as legitimate or illegitimate by the courts, and you don't get to decide that on the side of the road. But resisting an order judged later to be an illegitimate order IS STILL resisting lawful arrest. You don't get to decide that for yourself about your own arrest in the field. It has to be that way to avoid everyone trying to argue or fight their way out of being arrested. I know what I said, and you mis-read it as something else, try it again. Also, I AM smart, so I wasn't pretending. I have two college degrees in a hard science, physics. Cops have always LOOKED like thugs if you ignored their uniforms entirely, nothing has changed recently. They have to DO the job of being a "thug" except they have to do it by certain rules. They have to bring their captives in to other authorities to have their arrest be valid, and they can only use the degree of force needed to complete their task. But understand this, if an officer tries to arrest you, even if later his decision is judged to be wrong by a court, you are still expected to comply and if you resist you CAN be shot dead, and he will have done nothing wrong. YOU are expected to preserve your life by complying and letting the court decide!!!

Pete V No, actually I'd be a rather good one, just never wanted to be. Running a convenience store for years was as close as I came to it. You have to be on your guard for everyone that walks in, because some significant fraction of the population is pathological and want to steal or do you, or kill you, just for making them pay for things, and they can erupt into violence at any time. So you learn how to be polite as a reflex, but you keep a club and a knife and pepper spray right in hand's reach and you're prepared to use it in under two seconds. And you learn when you're dealing with someone who's irrational and for whom not acting against them immediately is only going to turn out worse, for you, for the store, for other customers. I have pepper sprayed more people than I can count, and beaten several with my club. I never had to stab anyone, but I ran a knife-wielding suspect out with my knife and club. I have broken a couple people's bones, wrist and collarbone. I have sent many to jail and had a good working relationship with police. Until you do that job you don't realize how good a relationship business has to have with police, on a first name basis with much of the force, and has to have. Only then can you appreciate their job, and they yours. I've had cops tell me they wouldn't do my job without a gun.

If you would be honest you would admit that children have sexual curiosity, and that if a child was not raised to fear sex and nudity as people do in the west, and were not raised with their sexuality and decision making ripped from them by fear and authority, that children's natural curiosity being satisfied according to THEIR wants and desires around sex, would be a good thing. That would include them seeing adult sex and participating to the degree they wished as they grew. It is not normal for adults to have desires for sex with children, they are too sexually immature to be actually very attractive, but their curiosity would be cute and heart-warming. Our normal adult attraction for teens as they are more developed is widely understood and exploited by advertisers, however much this society oppresses it currently. Americans are schizoid as hell about this. I believe that if children were raised this way that we would not have adults who were fixated on children, as I believe that comes directly FROM the sexual stunting of early sexual experience in childhood. This IS where that sexual stunting and fixation comes from, the sexual desire for experiences of children being stymied. The only trauma in our society that does emotional harm is BECAUSE of the suppression of children's sexuality and the shame instilled around sex, that damages BOTH children and adult sexuality. Your assertion that sex with others is somehow unvirtuous in marriage is a result of immature sexuality being suppressed. Monogamy is both unnatural for our species, and is a result of sexual greed caused by that sexual repression of youthful sexual desires. When sex is made taboo, and scarce, the teen's normally broad attraction to all members of his age group retreats to a greedy desire to settle for at least just one reliable sex partner one covets and guards from others at all costs, even death. This then becomes the desire for the "best" partner, and jealousy. This produces the sickness of a "beauty" culture. If children and then teens were raised having happy sex with all members of their age group, they would fuck their friends all their life and not develop jealousies of that depth and such dangerous outcomes around it. Sexual jealousy, and even sexual beauty as a concept, I believe, would not exist.
