It's all about the criminal and secretly sinful envy of most people, and the ridiculous belief that they had better protect richness in the absurd hope that someday, somehow, they too might become rich, when that is just as pathetic as a 5'5" black kid who wants to be an NBA star so he ignores his schoolwork to shoot hoops.
Inherent in the psyche of the American poor which is MOST people, after being deprived and and demeaned by the rich, is the desire for payback, to then BE the one who steps on faces, instead of the one who gets stepped on. They don't realize that a better society and a more honorable and more realistic motivation is to make a society where NOBODY gets stepped on.
Until most Americans outgrow and out-learn their desperate desire to become rich and their ridiculous belief that they might, or that this is a worthwhile goal, they will never give up their fear of Socialism.
It's like the terror that fundies have constantly that the bible might all be lies and that there is no god, jesus, or hebbin. It's like being told all your life that when you turn 18 you'll get a million dollars, only to find it was a joke.
Americans are gullible. They let people take things from them and then dream of being those people, rather than punishing those people.
They don't realize, under a Socialism that THEY MAKE THEMSELVES, that they can all have a home, free and clear, that nobody can ever evict them from by LAW, and be guaranteed a wage if they accept any job their state offers them at their level of education, be guaranteed free education that pays a worker's wage for success, healthcare, disability, retirement, and be guaranteed all the public services they can think of.
And they can get all this but ONLY IF they simply make hourly wage disparity ILLEGAL, make rent/mortgage ILLEGAL, prohibit ALL profit and speculation, make ALL schemes to gain wealth without working ILLEGAL, confiscate all the wealth of the rich, make the People's State the owner of ALL factories and businesses, and require the rich to get honest work OR NOT EAT!
The rich steal half of what everyone makes. Look it up!! And most of them do NO appreciable productive work for it. The houses they rent to the rest of us, or make mortgage profit income by owning/selling, is where MOST ALL the wealth disparity between rich and poor COMES FROM!!
Two children born in the same hospital moments apart. One already OWNS the other's share of the earth and will steal half of what he makes all his life. LET THIS BE BANNED!!! NO MORE inheritance except personal property.
NO one gets to own any but the home they live in!!! Homes of the deceased can go to inheritors ONLY if they give up another home to get them!! The homes of the dead are given by government fiat to all new adult citizens!! This sensible birthright must become LAW!!
