Dems are so stupid. Unless people go to the police at the time, they have automatically lost all credibility if they come up with this shit years later and go to the press or start a lawsuit or seek a book deal. And if they lied to their mothers about what happened, to gain favor or deflect criticism, their motives are of course entirely suspect. If they further come up with this trash in a political election season about a candidate, one must ask what the hell they were waiting for in the past, and whether they have political motives in doing so. Or one might ask who is paying them to either invent or dredge up alleged bad acts years later. We should always doubt conveniently timed suspicious revelations. We should, as a public, totally blow anyone off who tries that as devious and insincere. It should be regarded as slander and punished, even if the alleged bad acts might really have taken place, they obviously didn't feel they were bad enough to report them at the time.
