Random Ron What has Hilary done that was illegal? The FBI says nothing. The two other senate committees investigating her said nothing. The republican party has been out to get her for some unnamed crime since the Clintons first won election and kicked their asshole out. That is about the size of it, the rest is all "Trumped" up by big money right-wingers to try to confuse the public. Can you think of anything she did that was ever illegal or criminal that isn't bordering on a weird conspiracy theory? No, you can't, nobody can. That's why she's going to be elected no matter how badly the GOP wants the whitehouse back. There's nothing she could do to win Bernie supporters except bow out, that's because many Bernie supporters are not realistic politically. America is not yet ready for Socialism, it will take a little longer, but young people never ever want to wait, they want it before they can manage it. America won't go for it. I'd like it, you'd like it, but it won't happen. Watch the polls on such things, we aren't even to a majority on single payer yet. When people are told we can have socialized medicine they still see something fishy. The fishy part is big taxes on the rich they won't vote for because Americans, in their greedy little hearts, all want the chance to be rich too. They will have to give up on that fantasy before it will work.

GreatPirateSolomon What actual legislation was Hillary qualified to present to Congress? None, she was first lady, not an elected position. But she promoted it publicly and tried to enlist support for it in Congress. FDR never promoted or achieved any universal health care, he was responsible for the New Deal, which was not a healthcare program. That was at a time when medical insurance was cheap. The New Deal was social security, food programs, and welfare for the disabled. Hillary never opposed universal single-payer healthcare, she supported any and all measures to increase healthcare availability for the poor. She never opposed Bernie on that, not ever. Obamacare was Obama's idea, and it was a halfway measure when he was still trying to cater to republicans with across the aisle measures like that, he later gave up on that and realized the republicans were disingenuous and dishonest and would stymie such efforts just for partisan reasons.

GreatPirateSolomon Yeah, but FDR never finished the proposal and never got anything. And yes, some right-wingers dreamed it up, like Romney did in Mass., but the right-wing abandoned it when the dems showed interest, and the ONLY reason the dems showed interest is that their '93 proposal got such harsh treatment, proving that the GOP is disingenuous. While the dems are trying to drag the country toward universal healthcare, the GOP is struggling to avoid that because it would mean the end of a number of profitable insurance giants. That the dems have settled for less when they couldn't get single payer means nothing, it is the direction that is important. Hillary early in the campaign didn't think we could get single-payer yet, she may have changed her mind now, having seen how Bernie dragged the country to the Left. But if you look at the speeches she gave in 1993 they sound JUST LIKE BERNIE!!
