  1. If tap to charge works on Chargepoint, that's a great advance. It used to be that using a charger without an account involved calling the 800 number and negotiating with them for 10 minutes to turn it on. When I was a kid (I'm 65), nobody knew how to put gas in your car because self serve gas stations didn't exist. You always let the attendant do it. This lady probably went home with a bad opinion of electric cars, but she also probably ignored the car trying to tell her where a Tesla charger was, which would have solved it all. I worked for a car charger company. The charger operators cannot seem to get out of their own way, starting with that whole "need to be a charging membership" nonsense. Name a gas station that requires you to be a member. Its ridiculous. Finally, in Europe you provide your own cable to the car. The USA system of having the cable on the charger is a stupid idea. It is susceptible to vandalism and theft, since the copper in the cable is valuable.
