  2. Jim was a true story teller with his songs. I can remember listening to his songs for the first time on the radio, and you just had to stop and listen, and follow the story. Why did so many great players die on small aircraft? The pilot for Jim's airplane was ATP, the graduate degree for pilots. Its more about using light aircraft for quick jumps at all hours between gigs.
