  2.  @2ndPigeon  We don't NEED trains. We have fast and efficient air transport between LA and SF. Trains would be better suited to solving the housing issue, which CA government CAUSED, by establishing efficient transportation in and out of the metro areas, but the train was not designed to do that. Instead, it was designed to complete with the airlines WITH heavy government subsidies. And that the train was never capable of doing. So instead of WASTING money on the train, we could have been solving a REAL problem such as the water shortage here in CA.
