  2. The points: 1. Locating wind farms offshore solves the "bird kill" issue, because birds don't fly offshore. This also solves real estate issues and even does not affect shipping, since ships can go through the arrays. 2. Solar panels can be recycled. 3. Solar and wind are complementary. 4. PSH (pumped storage hydro) works to store energy on large scales for cheap. 4. We are well along on the technology to make small "peaker plants" run with natural gas that can be put online to backup renewables.
