  1. 20gb of data... Humm. I don't believe that considers compression. A black box is not going to use much compression, if any, and especially not lossy compression. A satellite uplink would, and some lossyness would be allowed. Is BB data compressible? Yes, actually, slow moving data like control positions is very compressible. Also add the idea that systems like starlink can handle a lot of data bandwidth, requiring a large antenna that is only practicable on a large airplane, and finally the idea that soon starlink or similar capability is going to be standard on airliners to feed the demand for in-flight internet.
