You can also get panel breakers with built in GFCI. I'll take both GFCI and ground. I don't think you made your case.

Let's nail this one into the ground. GFCI was invented in 1961, so unless Japan didn't have electricity before then, you have admitted that Japanese power was dangerous in all respects before they installed GFCIs. Also, you have admitted that GFCIs can give you a short shock before tripping. Not dangerous? Tell that to someone with a shorted pacemaker. Finally, although Japan apparently could not copy America's properly designed grounding system, apparently the DID copy the two prong plug system, one of the most dangerous in the world, since children can touch the live prongs if it is not all the way inserted. In short, your video title is incorrect, since Japanese outlets are STILL more dangerous than properly grounded USA plugs with GFCI.
