The first thing the lawyers do in those cases is search for the parties with the deepest pockets to sue.

Although flippy tank aircraft are more common than Cessna's four way valves, I don't understand why they are so common. They figure into a disproportionate number of starvation accidents.

not sure why everyone has a jones to get rid of the round gages. They make good backups. Standard nonsense is: "oh, the vac driven instruments have a far greater failure rate than full electronic, the vac system will fail after x years". No, the vac system as a backup has to only last 1/2 to one hour, which is enough time to get out of a full power failure situation that takes out your full electronic system. A vac system is completely besides the electric system, thus the chances of a electric and vac fail at the same time are astronomical.

John Denver was killed by pride. If he had accepted that he messed up fueling the aircraft and landed straight ahead in the water, he would have lived. Instead he tried to flip the tank switch behind him and over his shoulder and lost control of the aircraft. Apparently the idea of losing the aircraft he just bought and having to be rescued from the ocean was too much for him.

Which headsets feature voice recognition?

Don't ask me. If it were me, he would have been in handcuffs on landing. I skirted the bravo there once. The controller asked me a couple times if I wanted to enter the bravo. I told him I was happy circling around it. I know how busy mccarin gets.

Ummmm.... no. ATC records it all. If he had clearance for the Bravo, it would be on tape, and he could have requested that tape be reviewed. I did that with a controller who insisted that I landed without clearance (on a night with no planes in the pattern). The tape showed that he was busy having a conversation with another pilot on the ground and ignored my multiple calls (PS, I should have not landed anyways... the video author is correct: no clearance to do anything means don't do it). They fired that guy.

I have never done a straight in that was not an IFR or IFR practice approach. In fact, my standard entry is overhead 2000' and then a descending turn for the 45, unless I know the airport well, in which case direct to the 45.

Yea, he is rocky mountain higher. Of course the multiverse folks believe he just branched off into another universe.

@mmayes9466 And what was the last thing John Denver said? "Farrrrrr ooooouuuuutttt!" Sorry.

"hi your 421 is ready to fly" "Lo siento yo no intiendo! Numero incorrecto... adios!"

I don't let anyone else fly my airplane, period. Especially flight schools. I learned to fly with flight schools, I am amazed that anyone would leaseback an aircraft they care about. Overspeeding the engine, not paying attention to rapid cooldown, hard landings, dropping coffee, the list goes on and on. Would you rent out one of your kids?
