  2. You are talking about getting away from the built it yourself computer market. I don't buy prebuilt computers unless I am forced to (Mac). No upgradability, no ability to configure as I like. No standard components. Pass. If the computer makers ignore the home builders, they will be sorry. But I suspect there is no danger of it. Are ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte all going to go out of business? Are you going to have the GPU/graphics choice shoved down your throat? No, its not going to happen. The homebuilders are not going to put up with it. This is not the first time this was predicted. I remember when everyone was saying that homebuilt computers were done several decades ago. It didn't happen, and instead homebuilt took off and became bigger than ever.
