The union's job is to promote workers, and on a good day they do just that. The company is secondary.

Biden does not back Tesla because it is non-union, and therefore does not have a union to line democrat pockets.

Comments: 1. Most of the Harris ranch chargers you mention are not up yet. I was just there, they are taped off. 2. Opening up the chargers to other cars is not good move for Tesla owners. It means more charger congestion, and also one reason Tesla chargers work so well is the payments system, just plug and go. Other cars would have to have the user swipe a card or other means, which means that the use of chargers slows down while other cars than Tesla fumble with the payment system. 3. Actually the biggest power grid provider is already there as the so called vtg or vehicle to grid pushed by Emotorwerks and other charger makers. The idea was that cars plugged into these chargers would be able to give power back to the grid, making it immediately the largest total battery capacity on the grid. In practice the idea has not taken off.

I have a Tesla model 3. We have 250kWh chargers here locally now, which means a full/%80 charge in 30 minutes flat. I have a Tesla wall charger at home. Now, how many times a year do I use the fast charger? 25 times? 30 times? How about usually less than 3 times a year. Less during Covid, for obvious reasons. Even on long trips, usually I "pump up" the charge before leaving (to %100), then even on long trips I only have to charge one time on the road. How long do I spend waiting for a charger while on those long trips? Usually 0 minutes, 0 seconds. Why? Because we have to eat. And finding a charger with a restaurant next to it is a no-brainer. So how long have I actually waited to charge my car since buying it in 2018? about 0 minutes, 0 seconds. This issue of charging time is way overblown by people WHO DON'T OWN EVS. If you actually own one, and have reasonably used it, the answer is: charging time is a total non-issue.

Stop saying "energy density". With aircraft, its all about the weight. There was never a problem finding space on an aircraft, the wings, where gas is stored, are for the most part empty on light aircraft. The problem is batteries are: 1. Far to heavy. 2. The weight does not change. Unlike gas power, they don't get lighter as you fly. Gas does, in fact it goes to 0.
