  1. Sorry, the math does not work. A Tesla can go typically 300 miles on a charge. So you say that is equal to 3 gallons of gas. Now lets take a fairly efficient car, say 50 miles per gallon. So 300/50 = 6 gallons equivalent, not 3. I think what you are not taking into account is that event if a gallon of gas has the "equivalent energy" 33.7 kWh, an electric car uses energy much more efficiently.
