  2. I lived in an apartment where the management provided a trash can next to the mailboxes. It was great. One day the trash can disappeared. I was soon to find out why. There was a shelf under the mailboxes. It was full of (surprise) junk mail. And I added to it. Then I noticed I was seeing a lot, a lot a lot of junk mail. I examined it, then put it in the shelf. Next day, same junk mail was back in my mailbox. Only I and the mailman had a key to that. The message was clear: The mailman was saying: This is my JOB. You WILL take the junk mail. Honestly, I have not cared much for mailmen (or women) after that.
