  1. Small nit: the tech is not based on adding a new "satellite antenna" to the phone. Rather, recent satellites such as starlink have cell phone base stations on them. Its like trying to talk to a very far away cell phone tower, so that is why you need to face the satellite. The comparision with other satellite communicators is apples and oranges. They don't work by trying to talk to the satellite via cell phone bands.
