  1. California's regulation on refining will simply result in higher prices as we import more fuel from elsewhere. Newsom might cry crocodile tears for that but there is a long history here of hounding "bad" industries out of the state, everything from surfboard manufacture to chrome plating to oil refining to explosives manufacture, the list goes on and on. The bottom line is California government thinks you can pay, and we keep voting for them, so apparently it be so.
