  1. Alec, you covered a lot of the uses of reflectors.One more: They add glass beads to movie screens to add so called "gain" to them. It means that the screen reflects the light back to the projector, and makes it so people sitting near the projector get a brighter picture. It has the disadvantage of making the picture dimmer if you are NOT near the projector, so it is not a universal good. The gain can be adjusted by the amount of beads on the screen.
