  1. I had a 100 amp panel with an outside breakered feed. I added another 100 amp subpanel, thus 200 amps total. Most homes can do this. So no issue.

  2. So I have a "mostly electric" house with electric range and dryer. I installed two (count em', two) car chargers, a regular j1772 and a Tesla, which went onto the second subpanel. Now I can use any amount of the house appliances, and I can charge both of my EV cars at once. We are also installing a heat pump this year.
