  1. I think the aspect of this concretization of our faith that JimBob speaks about as unavoidable yet troubling is necessary and it has to be done in submission to God. It's the core, doing from a pure heart. The problem is the difference between the imagination as understood in modernity (which is basically man self-creating), which I call promethean (so as not to say satanic) imagination, contrasted with imagination as in Orthodoxy, which is merely the capacity to receive and form images, and which is basically imagination as a mirror of your soul instead of a creation machine.
