  4. Unpopular opinion: if you were freed as a slave and given citizenship you don't get to claim reparations for being granted the citizenship, the citizenship is already good enough. It's a logic puzzle: true slaves are not part of the system. To recognize yourself as part of the system as a beneficiary requires you to either forgo the narrative that you're still a slave or forgo that you're a beneficiary, and therefore have no claim to benefits.
