  1. I'd argue that driving a RWD car in the snow on snow tires is actually safer because you don't get a false sense of confidence like all the people with AWD on all seasons! Sure, they can get going, but they can't stop or turn like they can accelerate! RWD in the winter is also really good for honing your car control skills at relatively low speeds! I drove my Miata through the last three winters up here in New England and I'm a much better driver for it
