The bond market broke becauee pensions are idiots and they trade sophisticated derivatives they don't understand. What happened was ALWAYS GOING TO HAPPEN. They never should have had those derivatives in this environment, but they're the most brain dead traders out there. The idea a 50B deficit can crash a bond market is pure idiocy. It's traders in the background playing their game because pensions were holding onto something they shouldn't. In laymans terms some traders specifically causes a short squeeze. If I did this, there would be an investigation, big players do it, it's a smart trade.
