  2. There is an even faster chip coming. 4 m1max combined. Also, apple may be able to add 2 additional units that aren't m1max and are more gpu focused for insane performance. I don't know if add in boards/cards are possible. Personally, I don't think so. But I could be wrong. I don't think you can do an addin board and meet the speed/latency of the on chip. But if you do specialized 2 gpu units for 4 cores connected through interconnects, you shouldn't need more performance.

  3. Yup, I recently got the "oh you still use android." Apparently iPhone vs android even matters in dating as studies have shown. Apple was very intelligent with this. If you can't communicate with the group you're ostracized, so you want to get on iPhone asap hence why the iPhone se sells so well. If you just need iPhone, you can at least get in.

  4. @Alistair Balistair look at their recent releases and the concept vehicles. People are impressed. They have improved each year to being very good now. Go look at anyone's reviews recently of the brand... All glowing. They have done a good job delivering what people want.

  6. It's real. At some point I'll just switch over. It just makes it harder to communicate with people because everyone uses imessage. My family and nerds use whatsapp/signal, but most people just text normally and most people have iPhone, so imessage. I started getting the "liked message" a lot more and a lot more messages from people to "just get iPhone".

  14. They are thinking of how to position the products without destroying themselves. Think of what would happen if the iPhone had a full Dex mode from Samsung, and Apple just let you install any desktop app you wanted. IPhone and iPad. It would. Kill so many devices, as most people could literally live off their phone. Apple knows its a slippery slope because if they go down this path, I would use an iPhone as my main computer. I'd just have the desktop/server do the heavy compute. I bet I could do my basic edits on da Vinci on a newer iPhone. Just.... Apple doesn't want that lol.

  18. The mini tablet is a problem because none of the high-end luxury cars can use apple as an interface in the car so they all use Android and no one on the Android side has made an updated mini tablet. A lot of this is just "basic" S-Class stuff though

  22. As a person who uses Tech, has his own personal server well before any of the YouTubers for storing his data, I do not notice 120 hertz. I was waiting for something revolutionary when I finally got a hundred and 20 Hertz panel and I literally cannot tell the difference. So for the everyday person this does not matter. Oled is what I do notice and care about.

  23. I knew it would be worth waiting for the s class electric version over Tesla. If the car is supposed to drive it self then the car should be luxurious inside and Tesla has not done that. Yes, some of this is just s class stuff.

  32. 2596 dimming zones, just like how tvs work. It's not per pixel lighting. That's only oled. Given that spec alone you would need a faster chip to handle the dimming Zone algorithm

As a former CFO of an online commerce platform, I'd rather have no sale, than a deluge of returns. I can fix no sales. A deluge of returns is a nightmare.

  50.  @GoreHusbando  it doesn't bother me, I like apple more on a hardware level, I just don't want to use their software and move everything over. I'd rather pay a little extra in my time to not have to pay for Apple ecosystems, but if I was richer I'd go Apple. Right now, I still use my galaxy s9 and because it's under 200 refurbished, I'm NOT LEAVING. But if I could stomach learning the new OS and if I actually needed the processing power of their phone, I'd do it. I almost did just for video editing... It's the cheapest video editor, their stupid gpu is that good and laptop prices/desktop gpus are that insane. Also, I bought the stock so I feel the company gets a great deal from extracting a ton from its customers and I don't want to be one of those people getting extracted, I bought the stock to be on the extracting end.
