In 2 years, by your numbers, he has enough money to pay her off for life. He didn't lose... He won bigly. Considering you can lose half, I don't even know HOW he did it. He's a God king..... For me as a finance professional, if my client gets that deal, we are celebrating for a month straight.... Hell, his divorce lawyer, whoever that is, this settlement just blew his inbox up. His divorce lawyer is set for life. He will have clients out the door.

Dre didn't get screwed. He got blessed. I understand he's paying 3.5M. But his networth is half a billion. He pays 0.7% of his networth a year. 500M, 7% return, that's 35M a year. Without working. He can earn 35M a year off his previous work. In 3 years, he will get 105M off of his investments (more actually, I'm just too lazy to do the additional math). That's enough to pay his wife off for 40 years. And he won't even pay her upfront. Like any remotely intelligent wealthy person, he will borrow against his wealth, which further minimizes his alimony cost. He got EXTREMELY LUCKY.(at his level, I could structure his assets so he would essentially pay nothing after taxes) If I could get his deal, I would have zero problem getting married if I could pay that amount of my networth. 0.7% of your networth a year is a pittance. For a millionaire, that would be 7000 a year. Stop looking at the nominal amount.... You're screwing up my own job.... These are the deals I want for my clients screw off
