  1. 2:00 Ah, she did expected value, but she forgets there are two states. Failure and success. This works because you will make many bets. But if you only make one, the variability is high, even if the expected value is positive, doesn't mean you won't end up negative. And she only calculated the proceeds, not the cost. If the cost of the marriage is 1500, and the value is 2000 but the success rate is only 40% then the expected value is 800 while the cost is 1500. This is why novice investors are trash.

  2. I'm trying to see the bright side of this. I can sell a lot of bad investments by saying "while I understand there is only a 5% chance of success, imagine if you get success!!!!!" maybe women clients are the next gold mine. If only u could get them to stop spending....

  3. 4:00 yes, it looks so good because she didn't factor in cost. If you could invest for free, OF COURSE WE WOULD. but we can't, there is a cost, and she did not address that. Never in investing can you just have a 40% chance to win 1000 with no cost. Proving she doesn't know investment well....
