@Soordhin a business is always looking for more revenue streams. You don't have to like apple but if you are an investor and you know that Amazon also did not sell advertising and did not have that as a large business arm a couple of years ago. The whole reason I bought the stock at the time this stuff came out is because we all know where this is going. The fact that you users are still naive enough to not understand this means that regulation will never come out in time against Apple to stop it. You guys need to look more at how the stocks react to this type of information to know how it hurts a company. Facebook is at all-time highs right now. Apple's rocketing back up there as well. Do the math, if this was going to hurt one of them and help the other then why are they both doing well. It's because this actually doesn't hurt either of them. It currently hurts small apps the most right now that use a banner ad or some other ad based model. It pushes the app developer that is making apps for the Apple Store to focus on in-game app purchases instead which Apple gets a cut of versus Facebook. Facebook has done some other stuff that would make this too lengthy to get into to protect their position.

@Elite Gaming no, this is just misinformation. If you sell the data then someone else can recreate your algorithm and put you out of business, you never sell the data. Right now you can't go to Facebook and buy data from them. You can advertise to all people 35 and up that like video games, but you can't get a list of that data because if you could then you would just create a business against Facebook. It's such an obvious lie I don't understand how people fell for it.
