He's a lawyer. So he makes money. I would not be surprised if my dad kept 15k as a doctor. Random couple thousand dollar envelopes were not uncommon. If I paid you, it's cash. But, you also can see, we withdraw money. She doesn't withdraw money. She said it's all gifted or whatever, that's insanity.

@johnsmith-ls6tq ya, not uncommon for me to find a couple thousand dollars in random locations at my parents house lol. Even found a thousand dollars in my glove compartment. They just were always paranoid about having cash. Normally, my dad prefers I have quite a lot of cash even directly in my wallet.

I can't remember what it was, but I needed $500 cash and I didn't have it on me and I always have cash and it just drove me insane. You're right, what happens if you lose your debit card, then you don't have any way of getting at your own money.

10:30 because they're worried that the credit card transaction is going to be fraudulent and then it'll be charged back. So they want cash. American Express used to be a very premium level card so, I could see that happening.

Ugh, I wish her defense wasn't something my parents actually did.... The way I know she's lying though is, she's saying she has $2000+ from change... No, my dad just would regularly withdraw money, and have thousands around just in case. So the paper trail is the bank withdrawals. You can't just have change, if you didn't have cash. They should have pressed harder, because there has to be an originating cash withdrawal.
