@martina5328 we have these things called regulations and environmental reviews. China and Russia, just build... If we could just build, we'd get it done in 5 years, or less. This is America lol. We handicap ourselves. Like, we literally give our enemies weapons, then fight them. Lol.

@johnsegal445 no, it's not, and it doesn't work with the grid. Buddy, how are you still this misinformed? I used to be a solar advocate too. But the grid depends on stable energy. If you have energy that goes away at night, it screws the grid. I live in California and experience this first hand. It's what changed my mind. California tried, and realized they can't do this. There are so many stupid caveats they don't tell you about mass deployment. Basically solar is best at the individual level. It's terrible. As mass deployment because it screws the grid.

@ApolloTheDerg yes, I think on a personal level, solar makes sense for your own personal energy reliability. But ya, sucks for infrastructure. Solar isn't really solar if you mass deploy. It's solar and battery.

@bigfishoutofwater3135 sounds like some bs some person would say without understanding the difficulties or ramifications of implementation. Like how they tricked me with solar power, only to them let me know intermittent energy screws the energy grid. Or wind turbines, before we realized just how ineffective it is. Nope. Not fooling me. If it's such a good idea. Fund it yourself. Stop forcing the government. If ideas were actually smart and profitable, they get done. I see it every day in seeing venture companies get funded.
