Coming out of this ideology, this actually isn't surprising. The left is the party of the upper only educated, however you are also trying to talk about how bad being rich is so you use any inherent traits necessary to prove that you are actually lower class

For anyone that is confused by this, I will explain why it works. I'm black. My parents both are doctors, however, I was able to say that I was poor around left groups. This was never called out, even though they also called me as coming from a rich background. Essentially, race overrides everything for them. They are more willing to believe the racist stereotype that they know is not true, rather than the actual truth
