I'll be less democratic and say there is an objectively better tone. From my reading of batman comics, Batman is a brooding, dark place. I literally got distracted during Justice League. I was on my phone or something, because I just couldn't even follow the movie/enjoy it. I'm SO HAPPY this was redone, because I like that darkness of Batman.
