@sophiatroanska1432 men as a group don't have collective power. When you say things like "men in the work place have control" you're pointing out a characteristic of those in control. But we collectively don't wield that power "wassup Bezos, ya, promote me and not her." no. While men hold powerful seats that does not mean it's shared amongst all men. Those few men wield power. It's like going to a poor white person and telling them "the whites hold all the power!" I mean yes, most people who are in powerful positions may be of a similar race, but the collective group isn't empowered. Most men are just as disenfranchised by the working situation as you are. Power is held by a small collective group of people. We could just as easily as say 6 foot plus tall people hold all the power but it wouldn't gain media attention. The only way it's framed like this is because that was the easiest way to get it disseminated to the masses. In reality, the way society has developed can "oppress" groups of people for all types of reasons, and it's just how the cookie crumbled through complex history, but we really need to stop saying whole groups of people did thingd that in reality, a very small group of people with reality decided for the rest of us 10s, hundreds, of thousands of years ago.
