Why not a used car at that point? I'd rather have a used 911 than a brand new boxster t

Holy shit. These people could be driving ferraris on the daily and they CHOOSE macan. America is way wealthier than people realize. Just not for everyone hahaha haha
14
You can skip the problems section. They aren't real problems. Except for the curb thing.
11
People are taking what the company says. They don't actually have a very good understanding of how ai works. There was a time I thought like him, before I understood how ai works. Connectivity is needed if you don't understand ai. Once you do. It doesn't.

Dumbest comment ever. You can own a ton of stuff. If you own nothing, you are genuinely stupid. It's the easiest country in the world to build assets.
6
@savagegeese that's not how this technology works... You don't need all computers to be connected. I understand what you're saying, but it's not how it actually works. Currently, yes, if we let the public decide, they would think this. But, auto companies will lobby and explain how the tech actually works. And it doesn't require everyone to be connected.

Sounds to me like you like the piano black so we'll do more of it - auto manufacturers. They must have seen a review of their cars over the last 3 years and know we hate the piano black. Zero fucks... They double down again
4
@amanasd26 rofl, no. They're good, but if we're just talking visuals, carfection and evo. If we talking scripts for funny? Throttle house, not that it's bad production at all. If we talking serious production and knowledge? Savage geese.

Base model is really more than enough for most people

" stimulating driving miles in my garage cuz I don't want to put miles on the car" The Porsche classified listings felt that
2
I love how diverse they make the broll manufacturing footage. They made sure to get all the representation

The beginning of your video is confusing. Why would I store something for only 20 years? Storing data is relatively cheap. I've got 150TB and I don't understand what a the delete key is. They never delete. You collect as much data as possible for your algo. No reason to delete anything.

Wealth and income grows every year, if you're on a limited income that's a personal issue
2
Well this is why the car review industry has gone to YouTube. Normal people are doing it better than the big boys for way less money
2
Dat intro tho
2
Amazing content. The investor in me now realizes why they are gonna struggle to make money. They went almost too far to perfect things. I'm not sure that's scalable.
2
@jackholmes8105 gotcha, not sure why I immediately jumped to it being a spider vs the targa. I completely forgot that it had the removable top. I just I'm at the lap breakdowns now and I can't believe how fast the z06 is I really didn't expect this result considering how heavy the car was. Really, America has shown some idiotically amazing cars. I was a German fan boy, Ford is doing an off road mustang now.... Ya.... Just take my money now please. The whole car industry right now has so many interesting options.
2
@Parker53151 no, because refueling on a car is far quicker. The only way to compare is time to travel 500 and 1000 miles. Then it makes more sense. Certain trucks and sports cars will lose to high range evs who can do the trip without stopping. There's no way though 250 miles of range in an ev is equivalent to 250 miles of gas range.
2
@trevorsutherland5263 only 25k per year for each kid? Damn what shitty high income family did you grow up in? That's cruelty. You'd have to go to school with the peasant folks.

After the massive scalping issue, manufacturers are realizing that they can charge more money and also that it's probably worth it for them to do so because a consumer buying something on the second hand and then having a bad experience will reflect back on the brand even though it's not their fault it's better just to remove the scalping margin entirely
1
, in a reality where company actually wants to make money what a surprise. And I'm being serious, because a lot of companies could easily release products that their customers want for insane prices and make a lot of money and they don't do it. Like an iPad that supports Mac OS for example... Apple could charge $4,000 for it and still sell out and yet they just don't do it
1
The passion of people who work on these latest projects shows. At all autos. It's just an epic era. The end of a generation potentially. Im a German auto person, but, I could easily see myself in a camaro, c8 or Mustang now.
1
If you want more on Honda, business wars just did a 5 part segment on them vs Toyota.
1
Good luck with that, I have the blue light filter on maximum so whatever your creators intent is I'm never seeing that
1
8:30 pricing is a massive problem here. I saw it and thought, "I'd rather just risk dying in the z06."
1
I don't think it is broken, I think people have bad expectations. There are so many good cars that were cheap and used that I can't really complain
1
The red interior.... Yes... Pls
1
Is that $210k us dollars? They do know I can buy super cars for that money?
1
There are other cars that do it better. Their older cars. And that's their issue. The tech isn't good enough the way it's implemented so why get the newest when a 2017 will be less annoying? Why not a 2007-2013? The upgrades aren't compelling enough for the price. The main competitors these new touchscreen idiotic cars have is their older, more usable counterparts
1
I don't think you should do hdr. Unless your metrics show otherwise, too many people don't have hdr compliant devices, and YouTube hdr is massively variable depending on the quality of the screen. I don't think it's worth it for another 5 years honestly. And I'm watching on an hdr device.
1
The opening of this video is quite sad, he expresses that this is the first time that they put effort into the interior. Imagine working at a company and watching this review and someone saying it is the first time you tried. How embarrassing must that be? Don't companies watch this type of stuff sometimes and see how badly people make fun of them? I mean I'm sure being profitable is a good thing too but it would really depressed me if people just made fun of my products constantly and make me strive to do better.
1
Manual car people = Linux people.
1
500 miles is my limit. If you aren't above that, I'm not interested in evs. Even still, I don't trust the tech. As a tech person, I worry about things that are too connected to the internet
1
How do people not understand how it works? It's not even that complicated.... The most essential device you use, you don't know how it works? That's stupid as f.
1
"you can be a whale and get back there easily" Don't talk about my girlfriend like that.
1
The sky's the limit Replace that with your wallet is the limit

Thanks dad

Love the work you do. I hope manufacturing take you guys more seriously even if you don't have the subs other channels do.
1
At the end of the day, if you care about data privacy, you just are gonna have to buy used.
1
Would be nice for you to do a collab with exhaust sports auto who also bought this car.
1
@JacesOwnWorld that's not how any of this works.... people pay what it is worth to them. Raising prices extremely high and paying them with only bankrupt people money isn't infinite. As much as you think that wealthy people don't go bankrupt, I have millions of statements showing losses.... the price on these vehicles go up because people actually walked them in that is what they're actually worth market value whereas you'll notice that some cars don't sell at all at MSRP. Because they were never worth it. The PlayStation 5 was scalped at over $1,000 because you guys were willing to pay it. And no, it wasn't rich people, I've seen people at every income bracket buy it at those prices. School teacher, etc.
1
@Michael except the Aren't, the used car market is only growing with cars. It doesn't even make sense for them to price cars low anymore because there are so many cheap used cars that you can buy. The issue is, you still feel entitled to new cars. Why you need a brand new car when something from 2000 does the same thing.... You want luxuries. Luxuries are not a necessity, and people who pay for necessities, pay extra. I've not seen one new car worth buying when the used car market has so many good options. Supply and demand. Instead, we have people like you who can't understand this and think that companies are price gouging and forcing you to buy
1
@Michael when I can buy a car used for under fifteen thousand and have so many different amazing options, the fact that you are feeling entitled to new cars that just have a little extra features when the same car from 10 years ago does the same thing is why do people charge a lot of money because there is an idiot that will pay it. And if there's an idiot that will pay it then then charge it. This is why I don't buy new cars, new phones, or new a lot of things. I don't care what they say new prices are, because my next car is going to be a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, for under 25k. My next phone will probably be under $200 because there are so many refurbished Samsung phones. You are not entitled to new things and if you didn't buy the new things, then the company would have to lower the prices. Luxuries are going up in price because companies are realizing that the prices they were charging before are actually to cheap relative to what people are actually willing to pay. You can buy a ferrari used for a Ford bronco price.... A ferrari... The market is fine, and when I want to drop ford bronco money, the 612 scaglietti is waiting. Supply and demand. There are more than enough used cars out there.
1
Should have been compared to the coupe not the spider. But I'm happy for 44 minutes of 2 amazing cars
1
It's not about whether it's practical or necessary, but whether it's possible. American cars are expression. They never were practical
1
That interior looks amazing.....
1
Manual isn't good in my opinion because they don't have incentive to spend time on it anymore when people weren't actually buying manual. I bet you if you look at the statistics of when these cars are actually in manual mode it's so minimal that the engineers just aren't going to spend time on it just to appease car reviewers. A lot of these performance cars are just bought by people to show their wealth so they're going to stay in automatic mode forever. People don't even know how to shift gears that buy these things for the most part The market can only bear two or three good cars that are manual. Anymore and the sales are too diluted for the manufacturers to spend time on it.

Love these long videos.

@user59371 mclaren under rates as well.

The person who purchases this car will never notice. It's not made for drivers.
