Russia economy is no where near as hurt as the EU and UK. They're truly f'd. This is a 3 year long energy crisis, and putin has the way better hand. Or, you can wait 3 years of economic depression, and maybe, you can pay market rate for Canada and American limited supplies.

  9. If You don't pay the ransom you would literally have to shut down the business. How do you think that you are actually smarter than every single business that got hit by a ransomware attack? Didn't you realize it might be a little bit more complicated? It's a lose-lose situation. Having experienced this at a company I was at, it was either pay the ransom, or shut down the business. Ransomware attacks are one of the easiest ones to do. Your backup gets screwed up, your main files get screwed up, and every day you wait you're burning money, until you go bankrupt. If you think it's so easy, start a consulting firm and start Consulting for a ransomware attacks and make yourself a quick multi-millionaire

If you go abroad to join terrorists and then come back home to your home country, why should your home country then protect you. Put another way, your neighbor leaves the country to learn how to kill you and your other neighbors personally, then comes back and acts like they did nothing wrong. Would you want your tax dollars going to this person to surveil them? Or would you rather prefer to not let them back into the country?

Russia attacked a nation without military allies. We do it ALL THE TIME. Europe decided to jump into a war that wasn't theirs, and Russia turned the gas off. That's a logical reaction to sanctions.
