It is fine. And the price cap is dumb. Why should putin sell you something below market rate? If you're doing so well, turn the heater on. Russia economy is no where near as hurt as the EU and UK. They're truly f'd. This is a 3 year long energy crisis, and putin has the way better hand. Or, you can wait 3 years of economic depression, and maybe, you can pay market rate for Canada and American limited supplies.

@Coolio157 then why are you crying about energy prices, shutting down businesses, etc. If the gas doesn't mean anything to you. Ukraine isn't allied. Russia attacked a nation without military allies. We do it ALL THE TIME. Europe decided to jump into a war that wasn't theirs, and Russia turned the gas off. That's a logical reaction to sanctions.

Even if your numbers are true and they aren't. It does mean nothing. You do understand, Russia wars like this. ALWAYS HAS. you won't beat Russia, which means, you have to waste 3 years waiting for AMERICA to supply you with infrastructure. You think that's free? You think I invest for freaking charity? No. You're paying market rate. We making 100% + returns. We are capitalists.

Assume what you say is true, in that case he finally was able to bring you guys down as well... if Russia was always wrecked, and now you guys are suffering so bad that you have to pay billions of dollars on for energy then he has made a gain. See how dumb you're using is. But it looks like you're from San Fran and not even from Russia so you don't even have to think about this. But I study the energy market, you cannot get energy for 3 years. Do you want to go through 3 years without being able to run your businesses....

Except he's not facing America he's facing Ukraine. EU and America were involved it would be scary, however it's not because it's only fighting Ukraine and that's an easy win. As long as Ukraine can't drill the natural gas Wells that he's sitting on he doesn't lose. You're the one who doesn't get it, you're fighting a war purely because Ukraine has natural gas that America wants to drill and we don't want to send our own troops in.
