If we didn't make the banking system incredibly more complicated than it had to be, and everyone would be able to manage their finances well. The whole point is to add as much complication as possible that way you have to dedicate your life to understanding the system that way people who do have a job. Otherwise I wouldn't have a job

Not surprised, I used to work for an insurance company and if you saw the backend that they used, you would be horrified. Basically, if you knew how our banking system works you would be terrified. There is a good reason why you might want to move over to something like Bitcoin. I'm not a crypto Pusher, but when it comes to our banking infrastructure, it is a complete shit show. People have no idea how much fraud occurs, and basically any transaction over $1000000 has zero oversight. Only the poor are regulated. If you withdraw 10,000 cash you will definitely be flagged, but if you transfer a hundred million dollars no one will bat an eye, even if there are 10 red flags.

At these places, there are literally known errors in their system and you just have to know what the things mean. For example instead of saying interest rate in might just say "###" and you have to remember that it means interest rate. I couldn't believe it when I worked in this industry, even basic things cannot be changed because they do not want to change a single aspect of there system once it is up and running
