4:30 its going to be mainstream, and the price will double over the years. Just like the iPhone did. Everyone said the iPhone was expensive when it came out. It was 3x the cost of phones. And it sold like hot cakes. There's this weird obsessed with pretending everyone is extremely poor and can't afford things. Yet somehow.... Everything sells. Everyone was so poor, yet ps5s were out of stock forever. So this "meta" of crying about everyone being poor, I hope it ends.

In fact, if you don't get the vision pro, you'll have to hang out with poor people on meta quest. This is far more pervasive than Imessage.

You also don't understand ceos apparently. Nvidia Jensen being the most public person about this. He wants people to pay based on the value he delivers. Not product cost. He's vehemently said he wants to push Nvidia prices higher. Same with apple... If they deliver an amazing VR experience. Even if it's $5 for apple to produce, apple is charging based on the quality they deliver. They has to stay above a 3 handle to warrant the prestige.

This weird obsession that people have zero dollars is dumb. I see the bank of America consumer spending. I know how much you spend discretionary. You have more than enough money to make monthly payments on this. I see people make insane monthly car payments.... You'll never predict the future thinking everything needs to be dirt cheap to be mainstream. Airpods went mainstream, being 5x more expensive than alternatives.... This won't be cheap, ever. It doesn't need to be. You'll finance it because the product performance will justify it. That's how apple operates as a business. They don't compromise. Payment plans.... People keep crying about the price, but nothing is purchased today up front. Everything is a payment plan. 100 a month for 3 years. No problem.
