@berniesanders8436 videos like this are OK, but it misses key points that would be hard to. Explain to normal people. Like yes, people run business for no profit, because of a financial model. The model makes sense, you can make profits along the way, but it's actually better to not do that, lose money, and make money later. Doing it that way, yields a more valuable valuation in the model. Hence, why investors pay so much for companies that lose money. It's a high risk, idiotic reward. You risk a couple hundred thousand, maybe a few million to make billions.. The strategy works. I've seen it with my own eyes the billions people make when successful. There is no better way to play the game currently. A company that is small, but profitable, is a red flag. It's how I got fired from my first job. I didn't lose money fast enough... The valuations aren't artificial, the people behind this are billionaires because they employ winning strategies. People like to laugh at it and call them cheaters rather than understand the game and play.

Spot on, but the industry is confusing to outsiders. I lost my first job for not losing money fast enough. I couldn't wrap my head around spending millions of dollars that fast at such a young age. The industry is wild. I was able to optimize the financials and hand it off, but spending millions of dollars that quickly to grow that fast, to turn later still have a plan to be profitable is not an easy task, and the people in charge are 23-30. Best practices for data? You don't even know them. Even if a dev wanted to do that, I'd have to authorize it and I as the finance guy am spending money to grow, not to do some weird compliance thing no one at the time cares about.

And ya, this really should have focused on the tencent part. The finance part/scale part, we do so many weird things in finance that would take years to explain the rationale its better to just ignore "high finance" as it doesn't make sense if you take it at basic face value the way moon has done. $10B can be expensive today, but tomorrow, it can be worth a $100B. Just look at Tesla. From 5-10B to 500-1000. Spending 10B in this world isn't much. For Microsoft that's just play money.... 10B for 300M users is a no brainer, and I'm upset they didn't offer 20B as a Microsoft shareholder... Bruh... That's free money... Come on... But anti trust, I understand, throw around money too hard and people will qq and regulate and Microsoft is terrified of that ever happening again.

"delete your data" eh... It's on my server... Kinda my data.... I know people hate that, but when you pay the server costs, as the company, that's just how ya feel.... So I'm not deleting ish when it's on my server and training my model. That's just how a nerd is....
