  1. Male wages are tied to marriage because women want a provider (I don't care about pc, this is borne out in the stats). Women on average marry a man making 50% more than them. Now that women make more money, less men make 50%+ more than a woman, so women don't see "economically viable men" and thus don't marry. Hence the decline in marriage rates.
