  1. I'm not done yet, but my thoughts on Phoenix are, it will be used in steam boxes. It seems like a perfect way for valve to consolize the pc experience. From the reviews of the steamdeck, it seems people could use it without tweaking. And I think not only will we get a steam box. We will get ways to drop in a gpu relatively easy, for normies to do. This is the first time I think of gaming can truly go mainstream Steamdeck was genius. It got hard core people to test and polish steamos for everyone else. Next iteration of Phoenix is a 100% shoein for steam boxes.

  3. Even though the rog ally is a more basic chip, it works for me. I'm on my tablet right now, connected to an external power brick. So, really, I'll get way more than enough battery life in my normal use case before sitting near a charger, or putting the external brick in a charger. If we got a new custom chip though..... Lawd.... Custom, 6 cores, 16-20 cus should be possible.

  6. If amd can replicate dlss and utilize steam deck momentum, they've got huge momentum to move units like mad. Get ps5 pro and Xbox series x pro to use a dlss like system in every game too? Oo amd gonna be happy.

  7. What you're saying has insane implications for the future. The die space used by the gpu was minimal. If you do another custom soc again with the same gpu focus. We could see Xbox series s performance in a handheld.
