This is exactly why I don't support canceling student loans. Most selfish thing people ever suggested. Purely to help themselves, knowing future students would still take out loans and be indebted. They want a one time freebie, for themselves.

I'd temper your expectations unless you plan to retire in a non western country. Starting at - 45k, no financial advisor will tell you retirement in 20 years is easy.

@maydayhomestead kind of genius really over states it. Just common sense. You see an industry making money you should invest. instead people cry about rich people getting rich. You can get rich too. Take the risk and buy the stock. Just know, you can actually lose to. So we investors don't give a flying f when you cry about us getting rich because we took the risk of bad things happening, and losing money.
