California will close a natural gas plant, and then import the same energy from outside the state, from higher pollution sources, but they cut "their" emissions lol. This is why heavily invest in the stock market, because I know full well they're not going to hurt themselves. Half the time they're passing laws to make business for these companies easier even if they pretend they're not. So, fixing this would hurt business, so they won't do it. It's just that simple. Why tank your own investment? Just like how war stocks have the same valuation models as Walmart. How's that possible? Walmart is consistent revenue, we use Walmart no matter what, and war is unpredictable. Except it's not, because congress owns stock in these defense contractors. So we will always feed them new wars. Thus the revenue is treated similar to Walmart.

  13. Then you make the company.... the reason isn't that there's a labor shortage at all, because if there wasn't companies wouldn't be able to operate. These companies have openings that they want to fill but they clearly don't need to fill them to operate. If they are desperate for more workers and it's easy to ask for a raise so go do so. If you don't find it easy to ask for a raise it's because you are replaceable. We added a ton more people with college degrees by subsidizing the living hell out of colleges and even threatening to forgive loans. So we have a ton of people with degrees, and not enough positions for people with degrees, it's even worse in China. The Labour shortage we have is for jobs people don't want.

  19. Nope, this is just you not understanding how rich people invest and poor people, even if they have disposable income, don't. My "poor" neighbors have had more vacations, more nights out, more concerts, etc. But they don't invest. So now, even though I don't make insane income, I'd "net" more wealth generation every year, because I invest. Investments get better tax treatment, because surprise... We want people to invest. Poor people literally refuse to understand the monetary system. Even if you gave them a million dollars, they'd be poor again. Being rich in America is actually not hard... People refuse to learn how to play.

So if you steal someone's prime age worker, your accelerate their decline. South America literally can't good economic growth because America keeps eating the pillar of gdp growth, population(other is productivity). We've done it so badly, these countries are now in permanent population decline, aka permanent recession.

  27. You don't understand the pay. Elon wasn't "paid". This was a deal signed with shareholders. Elon took very low base pay. But if he grew the company, he got additional shares. And the shares, turned out to be valuable. The deal was, you get to 100B, then you can have more shares, which dilutes US SHAREHOLDERS. He was never paid in dollars. If you want shares as your compensation then you make that deal as your contract. You guys NEVER do this, because it's insanely risky. Elon musk took a yolo bet and won. And now, you see it and think it's "pay". This is because normal people like yourself have zero understanding how this stuff works and REFUSE to learn it.

He asked shareholders for additional shares in the company if he hit certain metrics. If he grew the market cap, if he grew the revenues and if he grew EBITDA. He said, if I do this, you shareholders will make a huge return, so can I have some of YOUR shares as compensation. He wasn't paid in cash. WE GAVE OUR STUFF. And you're quoting the cash value as if he was paid in cash. He wasn't. This is just you guys not remotely understanding how stocks work. And the time he signed this deal, people were laughing at Tesla for "going bankrupt". So, he asked for shares of a dying company. Now, that he won, you guys are doing some hindsight insanity, and complaining about him saving the company, and getting paid for it. If you wanted to make those profits, you should have bought the shares like we did. We bought the shares and We decided to share our shares with Elon Musk. We signed that deal. It's wild.... You don't know how money/stocks work.... But they literally run the country.

They can show up to shareholder meetings, and demand lower CEO pay... You don't think other shareholders will agree? If we pay the CEO less, WE GET MORE MONEY . People are so ignorant of how big corporations work, they actually think the CEO owns the corporation. If we don't like Elon Musk, we can fire him. He doesn't own enough of Tesla to stop us. This isn't Facebook where Mark Zuckerberg owns stupid "Super Shares" that give him 10 extra votes or whatever, and basically he always has 51% voting power. Elon doesn't have that.
