get a 996, you can definitely afford one if you're willing to get the one that people don't want. It'll probably be my first sports car because of the price-to-performance ratio. A targa for me. I love how much light comes into the cabin

@divz24 in the realm of supercars to average people it is underrated. If I were to ask anyone I know which of these two cars was faster people without a doubt would say the R8. And if I brought a Lamborghini into the mix they would definitely think that. People don't know how fast these are in comparison to each other around a track except for car enthusiasts like yourselves. A few years ago I had no idea how fast a 911 turbo was compared to these cars. I can't say I really understood the car until recently, because I looked into it. To a normal person, they do not appreciate a Turbo S. I didn't even realize they were so expensive.
